What did you expect? Every year, the ACM Awards has to outdo themselves, and every year, they succeed. If this year was an exception to that rule, then my lead would be off-base. But it’s not, because I’m paid to write accurate, slightly inappropriate articles to draw your attention to the fact that VIP Concierge has tickets to this year’s Academy of Country Music Awards show, and all the good stuff that comes with it.
Now dig this. Keith Urban and Miranda Lambert are slated to headline the show this year in the fun in the sun capital of the desert, Las Vegas, Nevada. They do it every April, but this year looks extra good, with Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, George Strait and the Band Perry all scheduled to perform, which will hardly allow time for the awards to be passed out on April 6. Maybe they’ll extend the show until the seventh, too, but I sort of doubt that. As if that’s not enough, they’re going to cram more acts into their already jammed schedule, and they’ll be announced soon.
Lambert has a whopping 7 nominations this year, tied only by Tim McGraw. She said, “Every single time I see my name on any ballot, I still get butterflies.” That’s good, because if she didn’t get excited, that would mean it doesn’t matter, and matter it does. Urban received six nominations, and four other performers are nominated for 5 each, not the least of which is Blake Shelton, Lambert’s dearly beloved husband.
By the way, Luke Bryan and Blake Shelton will be co-hosting the event, so get ready for some guitar pulling. They were well-received last year, and this year they’ll do it again, but even better, and more, still.
CBS will air the show live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on April 6 at 8 p.m.
Don’t miss your chance to be there to see the show and attend the after-party. VIP Concierge has tickets to both events and can set you up like Bobby Fisher back in the 60′s. If you miss it, there’s nobody to blame but you.
