Oscar Party

Oscar Party

No, you do not have to be an Academy Award® nominee to live the high life. You don’t even have to be in the audience of the awards show itself to mingle and cavort with the movers, shakers and money makers after the show is over. You only need to buy tickets to the biggest bunch of good times since bananas, and coincidentally, we have tickets for the Oscar® after parties right here at VIP Concierge. Well, it’s not actually coincidental. It’s our business to procure and proffer these tickets to our legion of devoted awards show fans. They come out of the woodwork like a mouse for a cookie because they know that in the land of prestigious parties, few can hold sway with the Oscars®.

The 2015 show is going off on Sunday, February 22. The best parties are annual affairs, so they have an entire year to plan for the occasion. This blog would be several years long if we tried to mention them all, so we’ll just give you the lowdown on four of the most amazing shindigs in a weekend filled with parties.

The ESPY Awards

The ESPY Awards

Whether you like ESPN, ESPN 2, ESPN Deportes or the steaming-only ESPN 3, you are guaranteed to love the ESPYs®. It’s the ultimate mash-up of sports, pop-culture, music, entertainment, and fashion. This is according to Maria Sharapova, who waits until after showering to pick her award show dress.

This year, the Disney-ESPN team has done a one-up on Jon Hamm. Really, does Jon Hmmm even watch sports? There’s no point in being sore about last year’s award show, even if you missed your chance to buy ESPY® award show tickets and wound up on the couch watching your favorite sports channel. This year’s award show is going to be WAAAY better. Why? Because Drake is hosting. Duh.

It’s official. The pop star currently and formerly known as Drake is hosting the 2014 ESPY® awards. On July 16, he won’t be in “O Canada.” O no, he’ll be sweeping into the famed Nokia Theatre, which is the Buckingham Palace, the Taj Mahal, the Niagara Falls of award show venues. We’re sure that Drake is a true sports fan and performer. He’s an old hand at hosting since appearing on SNL. Even his catch phrase, YOLO (you only live once–in case you haven’t been paying attention) has appeared on “Jeopardy.” Take that Alex Trebek, a name that sounds Canadian because it is. Anywho, as a Canadian, Mr. Drake is a bona fide sports aficionado, a basketball freak and a fan of what I call hockey.

VIP Tickets Available for Prestigious Oscar-ific After-Parties

Academy Awards Oscar Party

The Oscars aren’t just about awards. They’re about star-studded, prestigious, no holds barred parties hosted by equally prestigious producers and stars. We have passes to some of the most desired viewing soirees and after-parties. Due to the limited number of tickets and the tremendous demand, we advise all VIPs to reserve their tickets as far in advance as possible to avoid the agony of defeat.

• Elton John’s viewing and after-party is a true A-List event. Tickets to this bash are very hard to get – unless you know us. Everybody who’s anybody shows up to see and be seen while making the scene. Seen at last year’s gala were luminaries Ellen Degeneres, Mary Jo Blige, Sharon Stone, Simon Cowell, Josh Grogan, Billy Joel, Bobo, Harrison Ford, Calista Flockhart, Goldie Hawn, Victoria Beckham and Kate Beckinsale, among many, many others. Who knew Elton had so many friends? The proceeds from various auctions of stars’ personal effects go toward AIDS research, so the party isn’t just a real good time, it’s for a real good cause. Elton John will be playing with his band with other musicians sitting in for a full evening of entertainment. British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran is slated to perform also. The annual bash has raised almost $40 million to support The Elton John AIDS Foundation. Attendees will get to enjoy a meal prepared by international chef, boxer and restaurateur Chef Gordon Ramsay. DJ Johnny Dynell will be spinning the dance tunes when the live musicians are on break.

Golden Globe Awards

Golden Globe Awards Tickets

The only way to be there is to go there-to the 71st annual Golden Globe® Awards, that is. And once you’re there, the only way to show you’ve truly arrived is to hit one of the Golden Globe® parties-pre-post or during the show. These aren’t just any parties, mind you. These parties are the most chic of the chic, the most lavish of the luxurious and the baddest of the bad. The celebrities all love the Golden Globe® Awards for a few reasons. They’re looser than the other awards shows, the Beverly Hilton is a terrific venue and the dinner/table seating arrangements put the pros in proximity to one another. Like any awards show, the Golden Globes® have after-parties, but there are parties happening all day long. We’ve been known to pull a few tickets to the show from up our sleeves, but they’re rare and hard to come by. We do, however, have tickets to the parties, which is Grand Central Station for anybody who’s somebody in the film world.

It might be a good idea to mention that these are not your pee-paw’s parties–not at all. These gigs have champagne pyramids and open bars. They have a disco atmosphere and energy to burn. And you’ll see more stars at one of these soirees than you’ll see at a liberal political rally or at the local planetarium, for that matter. Since all these parties are conveniently scrambled across the grounds of the BevHilton, and because VIP Concierge has tickets to several of these extravaganzas, you can dance from one party to the next, assuming dancing is your traditional method of motion.

VIP Award Shows

Does award show season begin in January? We don’t think so. Not counting the Emmys®, fall is chock full of award shows. These events are like appetizers that leave you craving more. They’re powerful devices that foreshadow the impending greatness of award show season. Most importantly, they have everyone at VIP Concierge in a tizzy. This power trio of autumn award shows includes The CMAs, the AMAs and the Latin Grammys®. Three unique fall events in Nashville, Las Vegas and L.A. Like, how often does that happen?

The Country Music Association Awards

It all starts on November 6th in Nashville when the CMAs take over town. The festivities will be led by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood. Again. Still. More. After 47 years, the CMAs are even bigger than huge. We love this award show because it’s all country all the time. It’s not too late to get CMA tickets and VIP packages with after-party access.

Latin Grammy Awards

Latin Grammy Awards

There is only one event that’s spicier than salsa and hotter than your grandma’s tamales. It’s the 2013 Latin Grammy Awards®. Fans aren’t the only folks getting excited for the “Biggest Night in Latin Music™.” Even event promoters are anticipating this musical extravaganza and the exceptional concert series leading up to the November 21st award show.

It’s almost hard to believe that the Latin Grammys® are only 14 years old. In this short time, producers have created a truly unique Spanish- and Portuguese-language award show with many one-of-a-kind features like the distinctive green carpet, which somehow always reminds us of tomatillos and green chili. A ton of work has gone into making the Latin Grammys® a success. And it all pays off when fans, celebrities and performers gather in the Mandalay Bay Events Center for an unforgettable show.

Grammy Award Shows

Winter is the season for award shows. This year’s Grammy® Awards are taking place back home at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 10, 2013. The only time the awards haven’t been held in L.A. was way back in 2003, when they were held at Madison Square Garden in New York City. This year’s live affair will be broadcast from 8:00 to 11:30 P.M. on CBS. If you’d like to be part of the party, VIP Concierge has tickets to the show and the after-parties.

Attending music’s biggest night is 1,000 times more fun than watching it on TV. Plus, the viewing parties and after-parties are to die for. They’re packed with all your favorite recording stars and industry moguls. All you need to go to the red carpet show and parties are tickets, and VIP Concierge has them in spades.

How to Host an Oscar® Party

Oscar Party

Oscar Party

Hosting an Oscar® party isn’t very different than hosting any other party. The theme has already been chosen, so all you have to do is fill in the blanks. Of course, if you have 2013 Oscar® tickets, someone else will be throwing the party, but if you aren’t going to the show, you can still pitch a fun party.

Naturally, you need snacks and beverages. To make the night more special, buy a few bottles of sparkling wine or champagne. Drinking bubbly makes people feel classy, like the people you’ll be watching at the awards show. You’ll want to have some popcorn and soft drinks, too. Buy a few movie-ish snacks like Junior Mints, Twizzlers, Milk Duds and Raisenettes.
