Primetime Emmy Awards

Neil Patrick Harris is hosting the 2013 Primetime EMMY® Awards-again, still, once more. Even Blind Willie could have seen that coming. Harris is, after all, the perfect awards show host, and the EMMY® Awards don’t like to be surprised in a bad way. Harris is not afraid of making fun of himself, and he gives his all to every skit, monologue and dance production number that he’s asked to do. Bruce Rosenblum, the chairman and CEO of the Television Academy said that Neil did a great job hosting the EMMY® awards four years ago, and the Academy is excited for his return. Harris has hosted the Tony® Award several times to great reviews.

Harris will be working on the show with his old friend Ken Ehrlich. The two have collaborated on awards shows in the past, so this should be like falling off a bike for them. It’s only Ehrlich’s sixth stint executive producing the EMMYs®. That’s almost ten percent of the 65 EMMY® Awards that have been held since their beginnings back in Paleozoic era. Ehrlich has produced “The Latin Grammy Awards,” the “European MTV Awards,” “The Blockbuster Awards” and “The Alma Awards”. He also created and produced the “MTV Music Awards” in 1992, as well as “Fame,” “The Dennis Miller Show” and “Motown Live.” He knows his biz.

If you’re planning to go to one awards show this year, or if you’ve never attended an awards show, the Primetime EMMY® Awards are a great choice. The show is fun, the musical numbers are first rate and the award presentations are exciting. Plus, you never know who’s going to be handing out the trophies. Here at VIP Concierge, we have all kinds of ticket packages for the Primetime EMMY® Awards.
